Rustilo 16B Heavy (NB) is a soft film, water displacing type corrosion preventive. Thisgrade can be applied directly on water wet metal surfaces where it displaces water andoffers a firm, soft, tacky film which can withstand subsequent handling. The mostpopular method of application for this grade is by dipping. The protective film can beremoved by wiping with rags soaked in solvents (viz. Castrol Cleaner IB) or by alkalinedegreasants (viz. Castrol Techniclean SF). This grade complies to IS: 1674specifications.

These grades are solvent deposited water displacing type premium quality corrosionpreventives. These grades offer soft waxy protective film by solvent evaporation. Theyhave excellent water displacing characteristics and resistance to finger print corrosion.It is recommended to apply these products by immersion. However spray method canalso be used for their application. The protective film can be removed by solvent,vapour degreasing or by suitable alkaline cleaners.

All these fluids have excellent spreading and they canbe applied either by dipping or by spraying. The protective films of all these grades canbe removed by wiping off with rags/waste soaked in kerosene/mineral turpentine or byalkaline degreasents or solvent degreasing methods. Rustilo DW 901 comply toIS:1154 specifications.

These are specially selected lubricating oils, containing soluble anti-rust inhibitors, tooffer high degree of corrosion prevention. These grades serve as lubricants as wellas temporary protectives. Rustilo 630 can be applied by dipping, spraying, rollercoating, flowcoating, flushing or circulation, but the application surface must becleaned and dried. The protective film of these grades has lubricating properties andhence is not necessary to remove. However, if desired, the film can be removed bywiping.
