This product is for deep hole drilling and trepanning operations. It is formulated withspecially selected mineral oils and contain a mix of polar, mild and active ExtremePressure (EP) additives. These additives effectively take care of the varying stressesat the cutting edge, the chamfers and especially during the cutting process. At thehighly stressed friction points where high local temperatures are obtained, thermaldecomposition of these additives occur. Reaction at the sliding metal surfaces takesplace giving metallic derivatives which act as solid lubricant films. Ilocut 334 containsfat and sulphur as the polar and EP additives.In deep hole drilling operations the coolant has to be fed through the boring bar underhigh pressures. It is therefore essential to use the right viscosity coolant to ensurerapid flushing action for clearing swarf from the boring head. It is also important thatthe viscosity of the fluid should permit high velocity flow and not cause entrapment orfoaming with the small holes incorporated in the cutter head

Castrol Iloform™ 168 IN is a low to medium viscosity, chlorine and heavy metal free forming oil. It is a blend of highperformance extreme pressure and anti wear additives, in a fully solvent refined paraffinic mineral oil.

Castrol Syntilo- NF is a synthetic type, Nitrite free and Boron free coolant intended for use on ferrousmetals only and its chemical formula is angled to overcome any difficulties in the cutting and grinding ofCast Iron with soluble media. A relatively small amount of EP additives is present so that a high surfacefinish can be achieved.

This product is a special blend of highly refined mineral oil and sulphurised synthetic ester containingactive sulphur. The careful selection of the additives imparts very low odour and light colour to theproduct. The sulphur present reacts chemically at the tool work / chip interface, to produce metallicderivatives which forms low friction film between the metal surfaces. This film is effective even upto1000 °C and minimises built up edge and ensures optimum anti-chip welding properties

This product is blended from highly refined mineral oils and non-active Sulphurizedfatty oils. Incorporation of non-active sulphur prevents staining/corrosions ofcuprous metals but at the same time, releases sulphur at higher temperatures tofunction as an effective anti-chip weld agent. This oils are useful on older machineswhere cross contamination with hydraulic/lubricating oils is likely.

Castrol Almaredge™ SL (previously called Cooledge™ SL) is a general purpose soluble cutting fluid, based on solventrefined premium quality mineral oil and good package of emulsifier and corrosion inhibitors. It forms milky whiteemulsion.Almaredge SL is recommended for general purpose metal cutting operations of ferrous and non ferrous materials,where high quality coolant is required

Castrol Honilo 981 is a low viscosity neat oil containing a high level of ester lubricityadditive to impart excellent surface finish on machining of hardened steels and nickelalloys. Can also be used in superfinishing applications utilising stones rather thantapes. Castrol Honilo 981 is a chlorine free, neat honing oil.

Its EP properties are conferred by selectedfatty oils synergised with stable chlorinated additives. Castrol Iloform TDN 81 is a highly chlorinated Extreme Pressure ( EP ) type oil withfatty oils and free sulphur making it ideally suited for most severe drawingconditions. At the drawing periphery when the surface of the tube bar is in contactwith the die, there is a chemical reactivity on the metal surfaces whereby a nascentmetallic chloride layer of molecular thickness is formed . This feature is important inhigh speed drawing of steel for extending the die life and improving the surface finish.
